How a Coventry charity is making friends in the city to help tackle loneliness

Listen now!

As more of us live on our own, work on our own or retire on our own, it is not surprising there is an increase in the number of people feeling lonely and alone. The charity, Good Neighbours Coventry puts volunteer befrienders in touch with people in the city who could do with a bit of support. All it takes is half an hour – an episode of your favourite soap – to visit or phone an older person. In this episode of From the Midlands we hear more about the project.

If you can help, contact Good Neighbours Coventry via goodneighbours@hopecoventry.org.uk or 07563 902 904, or visit tinyurl.com/GNinfosession to join an upcoming information session.
